From 15 August i.e. Independence Day, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is going to launch the Annual Pass of FASTag. What is FASTag Annual Pass?

Under the FASTag Annual Pass, personal vehicles like cars, jeeps and vans will get the facility of 200 toll crossings or travel for one year for Rs 3000. That is, you can use the FASTag Annual Pass for one year in this amount, but if you cross 200 tolls before the completion of the year, then you will have to recharge again.

How to get FASTag Annual Pass?

For FASTag Annual Pass, you do not need to get a new tag separately, it will be linked to your existing FASTag. This pass will work only on national highways and expressways under NHAI and Ministry of Road Transport. It is very easy to buy FASTag Annual Pass. Let’s know the process.

• First of all go to Rajmarg Yatra app or the official website of NHAI.
• Login there by entering your vehicle number and FASTag ID.
• After this, you make payment of Rs 3000 through UPI, debit card, credit card or net banking.
• Annual Pass will be linked to your Fastag once the payment is completed.
• After this, you will receive an SMS of activation on 15th August.

The government says that this step will reduce the congestion and traffic jams at toll plazas. Along with this, the driving experience will be better, making the journey more comfortable and faster. The biggest advantage of this pass is that you will be free from the hassle of recharging online again and again. Things to note

Let us tell you that FASTag Annual Pass is not transferable and it will be valid only on registered vehicles. It is also non-refundable, that is, if you recharge it once, you will not get its money back later. When the validity of the pass expires, it will not be renewed automatically, so the pass holder will have to recharge it again.

This pass will be valid only on National Highways and National Expressways under NHAI, such as Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Mumbai-Nashik, Mumbai-Surat and Mumbai-Ratnagiri. However, this Annual Pass will not work on State Highways or Municipal Corporation toll roads. On such routes, your FASTag will work normally and toll fee will be deducted at fixed rates.
