Monsoon IN UP: Heavy rain continues in UP. According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued for many districts on Monday.
For today, an orange alert has been issued for heavy rain in 15 districts of the Terai and Agra divisions of the state. There is a yellow alert for heavy rain in 31 other districts and there is a possibility of lightning along with thunder in 64 districts. Senior scientist of the Regional Meteorological Center Lucknow, Atul Kumar Singh said that the monsoon trough line is still towards the Terai areas of the state. There is a possibility of heavy rain in the Terai and Agra region today.
Yesterday, Sunday, good rain was seen in various areas including Terai, Purvanchal. Waterlogging has occurred in many districts of Terai. Lakhimpur Kheri and Bhadohi recorded the highest rainfall of 120 mm. Chitrakoot and Pratapgarh received 110 mm rainfall, Aligarh received 100 mm, Varanasi, Ballia, Prayagraj, Mirzapur received 90 mm rainfall. Late Sunday evening, Gonda, Bahraich, Sitapur, Barabanki received light to moderate rainfall.

The best rain of this season occurred in the capital
The capital received the best rainfall of this season on Sunday. After good rain on Saturday, the torrential rain that continued throughout the day on Sunday drenched the entire city. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of good rain in Lucknow on Monday as well. According to Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist of the Regional Meteorological Center, this series of drizzle may continue on Monday and Tuesday as well. The intensity of rain will decrease from Tuesday. On Sunday, the maximum temperature fell by 4.8 degrees to 28.5 degrees Celsius, while the night temperature was recorded at 27.2 degrees Celsius with a slight increase of 0.1 degrees.
