The series of rains has started again in Uttar Pradesh. On Wednesday, the weather suddenly changed in Sitapur in the evening and it started raining heavily. Along with this, it has rained in many districts of the state including Lucknow, Agra, Orai, Basti, Banda, Sultanpur and Ayodhya. In the districts where it did not rain, the heat and humidity have troubled the people a lot. In the sequence of rains in the state, a heavy rain alert has been issued on August 14 as well. Also, there is a heavy rain alert on August 15.
On August 14, rain and thundershowers may occur at almost all places in Western UP and some places in Eastern UP. During this, an alert has been issued for heavy to very heavy rains at some places in Western UP. There is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Eastern UP. On August 15, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers at many places in Western UP and some places in Eastern UP. During this period, alert for heavy rain has been issued only in western Uttar Pradesh.
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rains are expected in Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor and its surrounding areas on Thursday. Also, an alert has been issued for heavy rains in Lakhimpur Kheri, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kasganj, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya and Amroha.
Along with this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Moradabad, Rampur, Sambhal, Badaun, Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur and its surrounding areas. There is a possibility of thunder and lightning in Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Lucknow, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar and Baghpat. There is also a possibility of thunder and lightning in Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Kasganj, Etah, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Bijnor.
There are chances of thunder and lightning in Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun, Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur and its surrounding areas. The Meteorological Department said that due to the effect of the low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal, the eastern end of the monsoon trough has shifted southwards from its normal position. Due to its possible path and favorable weather conditions, monsoon activities will intensify in Uttar Pradesh during the next 48 hours.
During this period, most parts of the state are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall with heavy to very heavy rainfall at some places. In view of the situation, an orange alert has been issued in some districts of the northern part of the state. The Meteorological Department estimates that both the intensity of rainfall and its regional distribution may decrease from August 15.
