Due to the constantly rising water level, the villages on the banks of Yamuna have become completely submerged, while the water in the market and roads has reached up to the knees.

Administration and police teams deployed in flood affected areas

54 villages are flood affected. In 25 of these, the population is completely affected. More than ten thousand people are struggling with the horror of floods. In the year 2010, the water level was 164.34 meters, while in 2023 the water level increased to 164.35 meters, but this time the water level increased to 167.67 meters. The water crossed the khadar and ghats and entered the population through the road.

On Monday night, Bengali Ghat road in the city was flooded with water up to five feet. After crossing Swami Ghat, water filled up on Bazaar road. The streets of Sadar area were also flooded with water up to three feet. On Monday afternoon, the water level remained stable at 167.64 meters for several hours. The water level in Nauhjheel area has decreased by about one foot. However, the situation in the populated areas is still terrible.
