PM Kisan 20th Installment : There is good news for crores of farmers of the country. Today, on 2 August 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to release the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana from Varanasi.
On this occasion, Rs 2,000 will be transferred directly to the accounts of more than 9.7 crore farmers. The last i.e. 19th installment was given in February 2025.
Who will get the benefit?
This time too, money will be given only to those farmers who have fulfilled the necessary conditions. The government has clearly said that the installment of those farmers whose information is incomplete or wrong will be stopped now. But there is no need to panic. As soon as all the information is updated, they will get the remaining amount in the next installment.
What are the necessary conditions?
- e-KYC must be completed.
- Aadhar card should be linked to the land records.
- All the required documents must be correct.
Why is e-KYC necessary?
- e-KYC means verifying your identity. The government wants that the money being given reaches the right farmer. There are three ways to do e-KYC.
- OTP based e-KYC: By mobile number
- Biometric e-KYC – At nearest CSC centre
- Facial Authentication – New feature from UIDAI
- If you have not done e-KYC yet, then get it done immediately. Otherwise the installment may get stuck.
How to check your name?
- Open the website
- Click on Know Your Status.
- Enter Aadhaar or Registration Number.
- See if your name is in the list or not.
- Also check whether e-KYC is updated or not.
- Important things related to the scheme
- The scheme was started in 2019.
- Farmers get Rs 6,000 every year.
- Money comes in three installments
- April–July
- August–November
- December–March
- Who can avail the benefit of the scheme?
- be an Indian citizen
- have cultivable land
- does not pay income tax
- There should be no institutional farmers
- Does not receive pension of more than Rs 10,000
How to register?
- Visit the website pmkisan.gov.in.
- Click on New Farmer Registration.
- Enter Aadhaar number, fill the required information.
- After submitting, take a printout of the form.
