PF Withdrawal Rules: The process of withdrawing Employee Provident Fund (PF) has now become easier. If Aadhaar, PAN and bank details are updated, money can be withdrawn without additional documents. EPFO has made Aadhaar OTP and face verification mandatory.
If you want to withdraw your Employee Provident Fund (PF) money, then there is no need to worry now. The government has given a big relief to the employees and made it clear that the hassle of submitting a lot of documents to withdraw PF is over. Now you can easily withdraw your money without any extra paperwork.
The Ministry of Labor and Employment told the Parliament that if your PF account is linked to Aadhaar, PAN and bank details are updated, and everything matches the EPFO records, then you will get the money in just a few clicks. With the help of the composite claim form introduced in 2017, you can withdraw PF for purposes like marriage, children’s education, buying a house or medical emergency , that too without showing medical certificate or other documents.
Keep one thing in mind that to avoid fraud, EPFO has made Aadhaar OTP and face verification mandatory. Therefore, make sure that your account is active and the details are updated. The special thing is that now more than 90% of PF claims are being made online, and auto-settlement takes only 3 days. Go to the EPFO portal and check and update your UAN, Aadhaar, PAN and bank details, so that you can withdraw money quickly when needed.
How to withdraw PF money?
Withdrawing PF money is now easy. Login to EPFO portal or Umang app with your UAN and password, ensure Aadhaar, PAN and bank details are linked and verified. Go to ‘Online Services’ and select ‘Claim (Form-31, 19, 10C)’, enter the reason for withdrawal (eg marriage, medical, home purchase) and amount. Submit the form with Aadhaar OTP or face verification. Without documents, if details are updated, money will be credited to your bank account through auto-settlement in 3 days.
