Pension Amount Increase: After Uttar Pradesh, Haryana’s budget was presented on Thursday. Presenting the state budget for the new financial year 2023-24, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that no new tax will be imposed on the public.

Khattar also has the charge of the Finance Ministry of Haryana State. He has presented a budget of Rs 1,83,950 crore for the coming financial year, which is 11.6 percent more than the revised estimate of Rs 1,64,808 crore.

No proposal for any kind of tax

Presenting the fourth budget of the second term of the BJP and JJP government, the Chief Minister said in the assembly that there was no proposal to impose any kind of tax in the budget. The Chief Minister also proposed to increase the social security pension from Rs 2,500 to Rs 2,750 per month in the budget and to increase the fund for the Haryana Gau Raksha Seva Aayog from the existing Rs 40 crore to Rs 400 crore. He announced to fill up at least 65,000 regular posts in 2023-24.

Apart from this, the Chief Minister also talked about opening fire training centers in every district of Haryana state. The age limit of senior citizens traveling in roadways buses of Haryana Transport Corporation has been reduced from 65 years to 60 years.

That is, now on attaining the age of 60 years, senior citizens will get 50 percent discount on the fare. Apart from this, keeping in mind the small children, Khattar proposed to add 4,000 play schools in the coming two years by making changes in Anganwadi centers.

14 new bypasses will be constructed

During the budget speech, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the state government will construct 14 new bypasses. Apart from increasing the social security pension by 10 percent, it was announced to give a pension of Rs 10,000 per month to artists. This pension will be given under the ‘Pandit Lakhmi Chand Kalakar Samajik Samman’ scheme.

Now cashless medical facility will be provided to the journalists recognized by the government.
