FASTag Annual Pass: There is great news for those who travel on the highway. Now the tension of recharging FASTag again and again is over, because by getting an annual pass for just Rs 3,000, you will be able to easily pay toll tax throughout the year.
NHAI has started this facility for those who often travel long distances and often face the problem of running out of balance.
After taking the FASTag Annual Pass, within the prescribed conditions and limits, toll payments will be made directly from your FASTag and you will not need to recharge before every journey. At present, this facility will be applicable at selected toll plazas, but in the coming time it can be expanded across the country.
What is FASTag Annual Pass?
This pass is for private and non-commercial vehicles like cars, jeeps and vans. For a lump sum amount of Rs 3,000, one can cross the toll 200 times on National Highway (NH) and National Expressway (NE). Its validity is one year or 200 crossings, whichever is completed first. It will be applicable only on toll plazas operated by NHAI. Normal FASTag rates will apply on state highways or private tolls.
- Point-based toll: Each crossing counts as one trip; 2 trips per round trip.
- Closed Tolling System: One entry-exit pair will be considered as one trip.
Once the pass expires, the FASTag will revert to the normal pay-per-use mode and can be renewed again for ₹3,000.
How to get it made?
- Platform: Apply through Highway Travel App or NHAI/MoRTH website.
- Login: Enter registered mobile number or vehicle registration and FASTag ID.
- Payment: Payment up to ₹3,000 through UPI, Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking.
- Activation: Pass will be activated within 2-24 hours of payment, notification will be received through SMS.
Required Documents
- Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC)
- Passport size photo of the owner
- KYC documents (identity and address proof)
How to check status?
- View remaining trips on Highway Travel App or NHAI website.
- Send SMS ‘BAL PAS’ to 14434 for update.
