Consider Aadhaar Card as the ‘basis’ of life in our country. Our Aadhaar Card is going to be truly digital (Aadhaar FaceRD). I know you will say that it is still the same. It is true but at many places one still has to give a photocopy of it.
This will not happen from now on because a new app for Aadhaar Card has arrived. UIDAI has launched its new Aadhaar app on Google Play Store.
In April this year, IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had posted about this new Aadhaar app on his Instagram. After its arrival, people will not have to give photocopies of their Aadhaar cards at hotels, airports, while purchasing SIM cards or anywhere else. All work will be done through Face ID. Let’s show our faces again.
Aadhaar FaceRD
The new Aadhaar app is available on Google Play Store. Currently it is in the developer version but Android users can download it and start using it. iPhone users will have to wait longer for this. Now any user can get his identity verified digitally through the new Aadhaar app.
To use the new app, it is important that you download it in the same mobile in which the SIM card linked to Aadhaar is present. After installing the app in the phone, you will have to enter your Aadhaar number. After entering the OTP received on the number linked to Aadhaar, you will see the option of face authentication. After the face scan, you will be asked to set a 6-digit PIN.
Once the process is completed, the problem of paperwork is over. The next time after logging into the Aadhaar app, the user will see a QR code. By scanning this QR code, you can easily share your Aadhaar number digitally.
You will also get a Share ID option in the app, through which you can share your identity digitally. In this entire process, your personal information such as date of birth, complete Aadhaar number will not be shared. In other words, the other person will only know whether the Aadhaar is real or fake.
Now let’s talk about how this will work at a hotel or airport. You or other people will get the option to scan in this app itself. Whenever someone scans the QR to verify Aadhaar, the app will ask you what information related to Aadhaar you want to share. For example, home address or any other information along with face verification. That means how much data to share is also in your control. Sharing as much as needed. Your entire horoscope will not be revealed to everyone.
