LPG Cylinder Price Cut 1 August: The government has given relief to the common people before Rakshabandhan. LPG cylinder has become cheaper. Oil marketing companies have cut the price of commercial LPG gas cylinders by Rs 33.50 across the country.
The new rates of LPG cylinder have come into effect from today, August 1, 2025. Commercial LPG cylinder is of 19 kg. However, the government has not made any change in the price of domestic 14 kg LPG cylinder. The government had announced the reduction in LPG cylinder prices on the night of July 31, but the new rates will come into effect from today, Friday, August 1, 2025.
Now commercial cylinder will be available at this rate
According to the new rates applicable from August 1, 2025, a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will now be available in Delhi for Rs 1,631.50. Earlier its price was Rs 1,665. In July 2025, this cylinder was available in Kolkata for Rs 1,769 and in Mumbai for Rs 1,616.50. However, now the price of the cylinder has come down by Rs 33.50 here too. The reduction in the price of commercial cylinders will provide relief to businessmen associated with catering units, hotels-restaurants and food industry. These people use commercial LPG cylinders.

There was no change in the price of domestic cylinders
There has been no change in the prices of domestic gas cylinders. The price of 14.3 kg domestic LPG cylinder has remained stable since April 8, 2025. The government has not made any change in this. In the last four months, the prices have neither been increased nor decreased. The common people will also be affected by not changing the prices of LPG cylinders. The price of domestic cylinder in Delhi is still Rs 853.

Beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme get subsidy
Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), about 10 crore families are given a subsidy of Rs 300 per cylinder. This amount is transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries.
