Career
Kani Kusruti started her career with the Malayalam film Anyar as Bus Passenger in 2003. She acted in the anthology movie Kerala Cafe as Zeba in 2009. In 2010, she appeared in the thriller film Cocktail as Elsa, a prostitute. She got featured in the 2013 rom-com movie Oru Indian Pranayakadha as SP Jayalakshmi IPS. It was a sleeper hit despite competition from Drishyam. The Next year, she played the role of AGS Officer in the dystopian political satirical spoof movie the Masala Republic 2014.
In 2017, she appeared as Sudalai and Bhairavadu’s mother in the action-thriller film Spyder. She starred in the Tamil short movie Maa as Sathya in 2018. She performed in the Malayalam drama film Biriyaani as Khadeeja in 2020. In 2021, she portrayed the figure of Monalisa Paul in the Hindi philosophical sci-fi film Ok Computer. She did a Malayalam political social-thriller movie Pada as Sheeja P.K, Balu’s wife in 2022.
