This will include major cities like Barauni, Samastipur, Saharsa, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Jaynagar, Darbhanga, Jogbani, Patna, Kolkata, Guwahati, Howrah, Muzaffarpur, Katihar, Tatanagar, Lucknow.

Railway Minister refuted the opposition’s allegations on special trains

The Railway Minister also clarified the opposition’s allegations of running 12 thousand special trains on Diwali and Chhath in view of the Bihar elections. He said, “Diwali and Chhath are big festivals, lakhs of people go home. Last year seven thousand special trains were run. A large number of trains also ran during Maha Kumbh. What was the connection of running 400 special trains on Ganpati festival in Maharashtra with the elections? We run trains not keeping the elections in mind, but keeping the needs of the passengers in mind.”
