Aadhaar face authentication banking IPPB India: Now you neither need OTP nor fingerprint while doing digital banking. India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) has started a new facility in which you will be able to do banking transactions just by facial recognition. That means now your smile has become the password.
This facility has been developed under the system of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). In this, customers will be able to do Aadhaar authentication through their face recognition, which will also reduce the possibility of fraud.
Big relief to the elderly and the disabled
This facility is a boon for the elderly, the disabled and those whose fingerprints have been erased. They will not have to go through the hassle of repeatedly entering their fingerprints or getting OTP . Just show your face in front of the camera and the work will be done.
Also beneficial in health emergency
If someone is ill, or there is a situation where physical contact is not possible, this face authentication technology will prove to be very useful. This facility is opening a new way of safe banking.
IPPB’s focus: Banking with dignity
IPPB MD and CEO R Visvesvaran said, “We want banking to be not just accessible but also dignified. This technology is a way to bring together people who have been left behind due to OTP or biometrics.”
