IMD High Alert! Warning of heavy rain and thunderstorm in these districts of UP today

UP Weather Today: The rain will continue in Uttar Pradesh in the month of August as well. Today too, there will be heavy rain in many districts of western UP. Monsoon will become more active from August 3.

Monsoon is active in Uttar Pradesh. Good rain is being seen in many parts of the state. Due to heavy rain in the mountains, its effect is also visible in the plains. The water level of rivers and streams has increased, due to which there is a danger of flood. Heavy rain is expected in many districts of the state even today.

According to the Meteorological Department, the rain will continue in the month of August as well. Today, there is a possibility of rain showers at many places in the eastern division of the state. There are chances of heavy rain in Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut.

Warning of heavy rain and thunderstorm in these districts

There is an alert of heavy rain with thunder and lightning at many places in Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Shravasti, Gonda, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Basti and Sant Kabir Nagar. There is also a warning of lightning along with thunder here.

Talking about the eastern division, there may be light showers at some places here today, but no warning has been issued. The rain will intensify in the eastern part from Saturday. Rain is expected in most parts of the state till August 6.

Light rain is expected in these districts

In UP today, there will be rain at some places in Mau, Ballia, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Azamgarh, Ambedkar Nagar, Ayodhya Barabanki, Sitapur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Shahjahanpur, Badaun, Kasganj, Etah, Mainpuri, Firozabad, Hathras, Aligarh, Noida, Ghaziabad and Bulandshahar.

Light rain showers may occur at some places in Mathura, Agra, Etawah, Auraiya, Kanpur, Unnao, Lucknow, Fatehpur, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, Sultanpur, Jaunpur, Mirzapur, Sant Ravidas Nagar and Sonbhadra. There is no alert of any kind in these districts. Movement of clouds will continue in these districts. But, at some places, one may have to face humid heat due to sunshine.
