Gold Silver Price Today: On Thursday, gold and silver prices on MCX once again reached record levels.
Gold Silver Rate Today on 16 October: Gold and silver prices hit new record highs on Thursday, ahead of Dhanteras. This surge was driven by positive global cues, strong domestic demand, and a weak dollar. Gold with December expiry date rose by ₹1,200, or 1 percent, to reach an all-time high of ₹1,28,395 per 10 grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Silver with December expiry date also rose by ₹1,900, or 1 percent, to reach ₹1,64,150 per kg on the MCX.
Gold also at record highs in the international market
Gold and silver prices reached record levels due to a weak dollar in the international market, continued geopolitical and economic tensions, and expectations of an interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve. The US dollar index declined by approximately 0.40 percent due to political and economic uncertainties in the world’s largest economy.
