Driving License Rules: West Bengal Transport Minister Snehasish Chakraborty has given information about this. According to Chakraborty, various services from vehicle registration to learning license and similar services will be provided online.
After this decision of the state government, people will not have to make rounds in the Regional Transport Offices (RTOs). They will no longer have to face the problems they have been facing in RTO.
These services will be done online
The services that will be started online will include services like registration of vehicles, learning license. According to Chakraborty, due to this, people will not have to face problems in RTO. As part of the government’s effort, it has been decided to make the services of apprentice license and permit online from vehicle registration as well.
Work will be done sitting at home
With the new facility being started for the people, they will be able to do these things from home. This step will benefit the common people as well as the people engaged in the transport business. The buyer or seller will not have to go to the RTO even for services like transfer of ownership of the vehicle after doing the transaction. This work will also be done online.
Virtual conversation will take place For this work, both buyer and seller will be negotiated in virtual mode. With this there will be no need for them to go to TRO. The government’s plan is to make these online services available in a month.
The West Bengal government is working on a plan to make the state transport undertaking eco-friendly by 2030. They will soon include 1180 electric buses. For this, the state government has tied up with Tata Motors for 1,180 electric buses. The state government will do two things to reduce vehicular pollution. These include setting up of power charging points and CNG stations.
Special facility in UP too
Now simulator test will have to be given for permanent driving license in UP. Simulator driving test is software attached to a machine, during which you will feel that you are driving a four wheeled vehicle.
In this, all the features present in the vehicle including steering, safety belt, wiper, dipper, clutch, accelerator and brake will be given. On sitting on this machine, it will feel as if the occupant is really driving the car.
This system will be started in every district. Simulator driving test is being brought because many people get driving license made but they do not know how to drive properly.
