DA Hike: Just before Diwali, the Uttarakhand government has given a major gift to state employees and pensioners. State Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved a 3% DA increase. Prior to Uttarakhand, several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, and Karnataka, have also announced DA increases for employees.

DA Hike: Before Diwali, good news has arrived for Uttarakhand government employees and pensioners. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved a 3 percent increase in the dearness allowance and dearness relief for state employees. This will provide relief to thousands of government employees and pensioners.

Effect will be visible in October salaries
According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, this increase will be effective from July 1, 2025, and will be paid in November along with the October salaries. This decision will apply not only to state government employees, but also to employees and pensioners of local bodies and state government public sector undertakings.

Other states also gave this gift to employees.
Not only Uttarakhand, but many states have announced DA increases for their employees before Diwali. In Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi Adityanath also announced a DA increase on October 17th. The dearness allowance in UP has been increased from 55% to 58%. CM Yogi said that this decision will light the lamp of satisfaction, security, and prosperity in the lives of employees and pensioners during the festival.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced a 3% DA increase for employees on October 16th, taking the DA from 55% to 58%. The Karnataka government also increased the DA by 2% to 14.25% on October 15th.

States like Gujarat, Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh have also announced DA increases for employees. This has brought smiles back to the faces of millions of government employees across the country ahead of Diwali.
