According to the holiday calendar of the Basic Education Council, there will be a public holiday on the occasion of Rakshabandhan on Saturday, August 9. On the other hand, due to Sunday, August 10 being a weekly holiday, students and teachers will get the benefit of a 2-day holiday.
3 day long bank holiday
Apart from this, there is going to be a 3-day long holiday in banks in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. The month of August is going to be a relief for bank employees. Bank services will be affected for three days due to Raksha Bandhan holiday on Saturday, 9th August, weekly holiday on Sunday, 10th August and bank holiday on second Saturday.
The second long series of holidays is going to start from August 14. Holiday has been declared on Chehalum on Wednesday, August 14. There will be a holiday on Independence Day on August 15. Public holiday has been declared on Friday, August 16 due to Janmashtami. Due to weekend holiday on Saturday, August 17 and weekly holiday on Sunday, August 18, employees will get the benefit of 5 consecutive days of leave.
However, some offices and essential services may resume on August 17. Due to these holidays, primary and upper primary schools will get a continuous holiday of four to five days. Due to this, students and teachers will get an opportunity to enjoy the festival amidst the soothing showers of monsoon.
