Abhilipsa Panda was born on 30 November 2001 to a Brahmin family in Barbil, a small town in Keonjhar district of Orissa. Her family consist of parents and one younger sister. Her father Ashok Panda previously worked in the Indian Army but now works as a manager in a private security company. While Abhilipsa’s mother Puspashree is a teacher by profession.
Abhilipsa has a long association with music. Her grandfather was famous in the nearby village for playing the harmonium. She grown up learning classical music under him. She started learning Odissi Classical Vocal in LKG class when she was only 4 years old. But due to some reason she had to give up.

Career
In 2015, Abhilipsa started learning Hindustani Vocal from Draupadi Devi Cultural Institute. While she was studying, her mentor asked her if she would lend her voice to a children’s song, Abhilipsa said yes and thus she took her first step in the singing industry.
In 2017–18, she won the Governors Trophy in Hindustani Classical Vocal. She also participated in an Odia reality show, Orissa Super Singer. After some time the makers of Odisha Super Singer posted a video clip of Abhilipsa on different social media. This clip was seen by Jitu Sharma and loved Abhilipsa’s voice. Later, he approached and recorded the song Har Har Shambhu Shiv Mahadeva.
