Name update: Only 2 times
The name can be changed only twice in the Aadhaar card. While changing the name, make sure to check the correct spelling and submit documents like PAN card, passport or marriage certificate as proof.

Date of birth update: Only 1 time
The date of birth in Aadhaar can be changed only once. For this, an official document like birth certificate or educational certificate will be required. UIDAI is very strict about this change, so fill the correct information in the beginning itself.

Address update: Unlimited times
If you have shifted to a new house or your permanent address has changed, you can change the address in your Aadhaar card as many times as you want. For this, you will have to provide proof of address like electricity bill, lease deed or bank statement.

Online vs Offline Update: Where to make changes?

You can update online from home (from My Aadhaar portal):

• Gender

Offline (by visiting Aadhaar service center):

• Biometric information (fingerprint, iris scan)
