Star Wars has introduced a number of memorable characters over the course of its expansive universe. Han Solo is a lovable scoundrel that everybody wants to be and Darth Vader is one of the greatest movie villains of all time. For every great character that’s spanned across the franchise, though, there are others that have existed in much more minor roles. 

Some of the most impactful Star Wars characters have been total one-offs– only appearing in a significant role in a single film. That doesn’t mean that their canon hasn’t been built out to some extent in comics or television shows, but it does mean that casual fans are only familiar with them from a single movie appearance. Characters like Qui-Gon Jinn and General Grievous fit this bill perfectly, but there are plenty of great Star Wars characters with more limited screen time than you may remember.
