This project will not only reduce the traffic pressure on the major Delhi-Gurugram routes, but will also directly benefit thousands of passengers using this route.

The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) wrote a letter to the Delhi government on May 6th regarding this project. The letter, addressed to Vijay Kumar Biduri, Secretary of the Delhi Government’s Urban Development Department and Director of Local Bodies, requested the necessary action on the Najafgarh Road Link Project as soon as possible. It is now hoped that this long-pending link road project will gain momentum and concrete steps will be taken to complete its construction soon.

3 road construction proposals under Najafgarh Road Link Project

Following the GMDA’s letter, on May 18, the NCR Planning and Monitoring Cell discussed various aspects of the project’s financial provisions and implementation with the Public Works Department (PWD) and stated that further progress would be made soon. The Najafgarh Road Link project proposes the construction of three separate roads, measuring 330 meters, 585 meters, and 1,280 meters in length.

However, officials believe that if the project is handed over to the GMDA, it can be completed quickly and without any interruptions. This will also improve traffic and road management. The project aims to connect Delhi’s Najafgarh area with major routes in and around Gurugram. The construction of this link road will provide an alternative route for people, making travel easier and saving time.

Gurugram-Pataudi-Rewari Highway to be connected to Dwarka Expressway

Additionally, work is underway to ease travel between Delhi, Dwarka, Najafgarh, and Gurugram. To this end, work is progressing rapidly on a flyover connecting the Dwarka Expressway to the Gurugram-Pataudi-Rewari Highway. Upon completion, motorists will be able to access the Gurugram-Pataudi-Rewari Highway directly from the Dwarka Expressway.

It is noteworthy that the Delhi government recently approved a plan to develop a road network along the Najafgarh Drain, covering approximately 61 km. This road will be built alongside the drain from Jhatikra to Basaidarapur. This plan is expected to benefit both urban and rural areas along the drain.
