Bareilly School Closed: Heavy rains lashed Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, since the beginning of September. Due to rain, schools up to class 8 will remain closed on Tuesday as well.

Heavy rains are falling across North India including Bareilly-Delhi-NCR. While the weather has cooled down due to the rain, most areas of the city were seen submerged in water. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain. After the warning of heavy rain, an order has been issued to keep all schools from class 1 to 8 closed on September 2. This order has been issued by the Primary Education Officer on the instructions of the DM.

The heavy rains that have been lashing Bareilly for the past several days have set a new record. According to reports, 125 mm of rain was recorded on the first day of September due to monsoon activities. It rained all day on Sunday too. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted more than normal rainfall in September too. The torrential rains that started on Sunday midnight did not stop till Monday morning.

After the alert from the Meteorological Department, a holiday has been declared in all government and private schools from class 1 to 8. On the instructions of the DM, the Primary Education Officer has extended the holiday by one more day. Earlier on Monday, orders were given to close schools from class 1 to 8. Let us tell you that Atul Kumar, an expert from the Regional Meteorological Center, has predicted light to heavy rain in the plains adjacent to the mountains for the next two days.
