If you have recently changed your house or shifted to a new city, it is important to change the address on your PAN card so that government and financial information can reach you without any delay.
How to change PAN card address online?
- You can change your PAN address online on the NSDL or Protean portal. Aadhaar-based eKYC is used for this.
- Go to
- Select ‘Change or Correction in PAN Data’ option.
- Fill in the required information and select “Aadhaar-based eKYC address update”.
- You will receive an OTP on the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar . After entering the OTP, the address entered in your Aadhaar card will be automatically updated in the PAN card.
Check Aadhaar details first
Before updating PAN, make sure to check your Aadhaar address on UIDAI website or mAadhaar app. If it is wrong or old, then update Aadhaar first. Because PAN address is taken directly from Aadhaar. If there is a mistake in Aadhaar, then the same will come in PAN as well.

- PAN should be linked to Aadhaar.
- The mobile number linked with Aadhaar must be activated for OTP.
- There is no need to upload any extra documents in this process.
- After successful application, you will get a 15 digit Acknowledgment Number, through which you can track the status of your application.
- The new PAN card will be sent to the new address registered in your Aadhaar.

- The fee for changing PAN address online is Rs 96 (including GST).
- Payment can be made through Net Banking, UPI, Credit/Debit Card or Wallet.
