BMC gave a clarification on social media.

BMC has posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) account that this message is fake. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has not released any such information through its official social media platform. This false message claimed that schools and colleges in the city have been closed due to a red alert issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). This claim has now been completely refuted by the BMC.
