Documents required for Indian Passport: To apply for a blue (regular) passport, applicants usually need proof of birth (birth certificate, school leaving certificate), photo identity proof (Aadhaar, voter ID, PAN, or driving license), proof of residence (electricity bill or rent agreement), proof of nationality (Aadhaar, voter ID, PAN).
A white or red passport requires a government ID, duty certificate from the head of the office, official forwarding letter, clearance from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
