The central government on Monday launched the portal of ‘Pradhan Mantri Vikasit Bharat Rojgar Yojana’. Only those people whose UAN is activated for the first time will get the benefit of the scheme. Registration can also be done on the Umang app.

The central government on Monday launched the portal of ‘Pradhan Mantri Vikasit Bharat Rojgar Yojana’. On this occasion, Union Labor and Employment Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya said that employers and first-time employees can register through the portal. For this, it is mandatory to have an active Universal Account Number (UAN).

Under the scheme, an incentive amount of Rs 15,000 will be given to the employee joining the job for the first time. Only those people whose UAN is activated for the first time will get the benefit of the scheme. Registration can also be done on the Umang app.

Draft plan

This scheme is divided into two parts. Its part-A is for employees getting jobs for the first time. Whereas, part-B has provision for incentives to employers. In this, creation of additional employment will be encouraged in all sectors, especially in the manufacturing sector. For this, three slabs of incentives have been kept for employers.

You will also get additional benefits

Employers will get Rs 3,000 per month for each additional employee (both first-time and re-employers) for two years, conditional on their continuous employment for six months.

Who will be eligible

This scheme will be applicable only to those youth who have got a job after 1 August 2025. Those who got their first job before this i.e. till July will not get the benefit of this scheme. This scheme will remain valid till 31 July 2027

Register here through companies

Employers can do one-time registration by visiting the portal ( or https:// pmvbry.labour.gov.in). Employers will do the registration on behalf of the workers.

How to get benefit

Financial help of Rs 15,000 will be given on getting a job for the first time.

This amount will be equal to the average salary of one month (basic + DA). The maximum amount available will be Rs 15,000 only.

It will be given in two installments. The first installment will be given after six months of service and the second installment will be given after completing 12 months.

Employees earning total salary up to Rs 1 lakh per annum will be eligible.

1. These conditions must be met

Companies with less than 50 employees will have to hire at least two new employees.

If there are 50 or more employees, at least five new employees will have to be hired.

4. These companies also benefit

Companies will also come out of the purview of EPFO Act-1952

They will have to file electronic challans and returns. UAN accounts will have to be opened for all existing and new employees through the Umang app.

2. This much incentive amount will be given

Rs 1,000 if the employee’s salary is Rs 10,000 per month.

Rs 2,000 if salary is Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000.

If salary is up to Rs 30,000, you will get Rs 3,000.

You can register like this through Umang app

First of all go to Umang app and select EPFO service.

Then select the option of ‘UAN Allotment and Activation’.

Enter the Aadhaar number and mobile number linked with Aadhaar here. Then do Aadhaar verification.

After that the process of activating UAN will be completed.

Finally, face authentication will be done, which will be done on the basis of the photo registered in Aadhaar.

This process can also be done through Umang app.
