UP Board News: Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council ( UP Board ) has relaxed the rules for uploading Transfer Certificate ( TC ) on the website during the advance registration process for class 9th and 11th students .
Now it will be mandatory to upload TC only for students coming from other schools . UP Board has withdrawn the requirement of uploading pictures of Scholar Register ( SR ) and Transfer Certificate ( TC ) during the advance registration process for class 9th and class 11th students .
This decision has been taken after continuous demands from school management and teachers unions . They had raised concerns about the security of confidential documents. UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh told PTI , ” Regarding the problems being faced in uploading TC , the principals of the schools said that there is no need to upload TC of the children who are already studying in their school. UP Board also found their point logical on this. ”
He said that in rural areas, school employees had to upload TC from cyber cafes etc. , which was wasting time and money. Therefore, the rules were relaxed. Now it is mandatory to upload TC of only those students who take admission in class 9 and 11 from another school.
Bhagwati Singh said that the rule of uploading TC was implemented to ensure that fake students do not get admission in class 9th and 11th. Vikram Bahadur Singh Parihar, Principal of Jwala Devi Inter College located in Civil Lines , Prayagraj , welcomed this move of the UP Board and said that this will reduce the unnecessary burden on the school staff.
He said the process of uploading sensitive documents was risky . Because most of the school principals in rural areas use private cyber cafes for online registration . Earlier this year , the UP Board had issued new guidelines for advance registration of students appearing for the 2027 high school and intermediate board examinations . For the first time, schools were asked to upload a Permanent Education Number ( PEN) along with photos of SR or TC .
Though the board had already removed the requirement of PEN on July 15, the provision of uploading SR /TC photos was still in place . Teachers and schools argued that the process of uploading sensitive documents was risky, especially since most school principals use private cybercafes for online registration . They said that SR and TC documents are official and confidential. Carrying them outside the school campus could pose a serious security risk.
