Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Rolls Out Special Bus Services for Delhi University Youth

CM Rekha Gupta: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced the return of ‘U-Special’ bus service during a special program at Delhi University. These buses are especially for students, which will run on the roads again after years. Along with this, many big steps have also been taken to strengthen government schools.

Youth special bus: The grand comeback of the ‘youth special’ bus service

This bus service was first started in the 1970s, which was special for the college students of Delhi University, but due to the increasing trend of private buses, it had to be stopped. Now CM Rekha Gupta has decided to bring it back. These new buses will be equipped with air conditioning, LED lights and music system so that students get a comfortable and safe journey. This step will promote the convenience of the students and make traveling easier for them.

Appeal to students: Become mentors of government school children

CM made a special appeal to the students of DU to become mentors of children of government schools and help them in their studies. Apart from this, he suggested that the university should adopt some government schools and run regular mentoring programs there. He says that there is a need to change the image of government schools and the government will make them better than private schools. In the program, CM inaugurated the new four-storey building of Social Center School of Morris Nagar. This building has 21 state-of-the-art classrooms and now this school has got recognition for studies up to 12th standard.

Improving education is a priority of the government

CM Rekha Gupta clearly said that change in education is the first priority of her government. She said that excellence in education and excellence in opportunity is her goal. On this occasion, many big people including Education Minister Ashish Sood, DU VC Prof. Yogesh Singh, Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh were present.
