Career

During his tenure as the General Secretary of the TISS Student Union from 2017-2018, Ahmad led a huge protest of almost 1000 students against the revocation of the fee waiver for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other backward class students. He was supported in this matter by Prakash Ambedkar.

Ahmad actively participated in rallies and protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) across India and was present in the Wankhede protest during the India vs. Australia ODI series. He has publicly declared his opposition to the CAA, and in December 2019, he spearheaded a protest in August Kranti Maidan.
