Biography
Sasha Hurtado was born on December 2, 2003 in Dallas, GA. to a multicultural military family of music lovers. Her father is Mexican and her mother, born in Florida. She grew up listening rock ‘n’ roll and classic mariachi. Sasha started learning music at the age of 9 and sang in church alongside her brother. She started gigging at 14, with her first gig taking place at a pub (where they made an exception for her age). Sasha took part in a vocal workshop at the world renowned Jan Smith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, where she was selected as one of the top vocal students to sing in Jan Smith’s Talent Showcase.
Sasha has become a seasoned performer with experience on stages and venues all over Georgia. In 2017 and 2019, she was selected for a final executive call for seasons 14 and 18 of The Voice. In 2022, she appeared as a contestant in television reality show The Voice 22.
