Terms of Use

Last updated: 12 July 2026

These Terms govern your use of whowiki.org and the tools and content on it (the “Service”), operated by WhoWiki. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

About the Service

WhoWiki provides AML, KYC, sanctions, and business-verification tools, along with a glossary, guides, and other reference content. The Service is for general information and to help you run quick, indicative checks. Questions can go to info@whowiki.org.

Using the Service

You may use the Service for your own lawful business and informational purposes. You agree not to:

  • use it unlawfully, or in a way that breaks any sanctions, AML, data protection, or other laws that apply to you;
  • misuse, disrupt, or overload the site or its tools, or try to get around any security or access controls;
  • scrape, copy, or harvest content or data at scale, or use automated systems to access the Service, except through any documented interface we provide;
  • resell, republish, or redistribute the Service or its content as your own;
  • use the Service to infringe anyone’s rights, or to process personal data without a lawful basis.

The results are indicative

Our tools give indicative results based on public and open data. They are not a substitute for regulated screening, a full compliance program, or professional legal or financial advice. You are responsible for your own compliance obligations and for checking results against primary sources. Please read our Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, text, and original content, is owned by WhoWiki or its licensors and is protected by law. Reference data comes from official and open sources, each under its own terms. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to access and use the Service for your own purposes. You may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link back, but you may not copy substantial parts of the content or present it as your own.

Third-party data and links

Data-backed tools rely on third-party and government sources, and the Service links to other websites. We do not control those sources or sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability. See our Data Sources page for the sources we use.

Availability and changes to the Service

We may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of the Service at any time. We aim to keep it available and accurate, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access.

No warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WhoWiki is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the Service or its results, or from decisions you make based on them. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Your responsibility

You agree to be responsible for your use of the Service, and to cover any claims, losses, or costs that arise from your misuse of it or your breach of these Terms.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the “Last updated” date will change. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to WhoWiki’s operator, and the competent courts there have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections you may have in your own country.

For any question about these Terms, contact WhoWiki at info@whowiki.org. See also our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer.
